Easy Exchanges
Don't worry if you don't like it or it doesn't fit just return it for an exchange of colour, size or style. It's simple. Read below for details and our rules.
Exchanges
We are passionate about making sure you love what you wear from us. That’s why the Clothing Wear Australia returns policy is fair and easy to understand.
If you get a garment from us and it doesn’t quite fit, the colour isn’t what you thought or you just don’t like it for whatever reason, you can simply return it in the condition we sent it to you in and we would be happy to exchange it for the same garment of a different size or colour, or even a completely different style. Please note, we do not offer refunds for change of mind.
Here’s how it works
1.) Email us first within 5 working days of us sending the item to you with the names of the items that you wish to exchange – we’ll send you a returns authorisation number
Please note: we do not process exchanges via phone as we require a written record
2.) Send your item back to the address we give you in original perfect condition with full swing tags, unwashed, unworn, scent free and in thecondition as it was sent to you in. The item must also include any free promotional products, gift or accessories that were sent to you. ALL items must be sent back via registered post or express post with tracking. We will then email you when we receive the order. You will need to pay the postage on the returned item.
Please note: Do not send an item to us before we provide a returns authorisation form for you and instructions about where to send the item to. We do not accept returns at our Sydney head office, and items sent to us here will incur you additional postage costs for us to send them on to our processing location. Items sent without returns forms will not be processed at all.
3.) Returns processing can take up to two weeks. If you want a variation of the same garment we’ll send the alternative colour or size out to you.
4.) For exchanges, contact us and tell us what you would like to exchange it for. We’ll process this and send you out the alternative.
If you can’t find what you want on our website at the time of returning the item for exchange we will give you a store credit for the original product's cost.
Note: We do not give credits for any postage costs incurred or gift wrapping.
For fairness to other customers, we only allow one exchange per order, so please choose your exchanged item carefully.
Any credits we issue you for clothing you have purchased can not be used on Accessories, Boots, Shoes, Jewellery, Lingerie or clearance items as these items are not available for exchanges.

We do not allow exchanges on clearance items, accessories like jewellery, boots, shoes, and for health reasons, lingerie and swimwear items. Because of this policy, all items in our website are carefully checked for faults and photographed as proof of quality before dispatch.
A note about fit
It's in our best interest to make sure that items fit you as best as possible, so we try really hard to make sure the Australian sizes we publish of items on the site are as accurate as possible. But we do understand that not everyone is a perfect match to a size chart and people are different shapes and heights. That is why we have the policy we do and let you just send an item back for an exchange.
To help you choose, we are happy to get someone to measure an item before you buy if you want to know the exact measurements - if you want to do that, please let us know.
Postage Cost on Exchanged / Returned Products
You pay the postage for exchanges to be sent back to you, this can be charged to the card you used for your original order or you can send us a money order with the goods. You need to send this back to us within five working days of us dispatching it to you.
We do not give credits for any postage costs from original order. We only offer credit and exchanges to amount of original products cost.
You need to pay the postage on the exchanged item being sent to you - we do not offer free shipping on exchanges. This is charged at the flat rate we offer for Express postage up to 5 items. If you exchange 5 or more items at a time, you will pay the full over the counter postage price at Australia Post.
Note: For fairness, we permit only one exchange per order. This means you can't exchange an item that was paid for with credit(s) or a voucher from a previous exchanged order.
Faulty items
Although we quality inspect every item before it is sent to you, if you find a manufacturer’s fault that you believe we’ve missed, please contact us.
We’ll advise you a returns authorisation number and address to send the item back to us for review. Items that are found to be genuinely faulty will be replaced by us for an identical style, colour and size. You need to send this back to us within 5 days of us dispatching the item to you. We will not charge you for postage on the replacement item, but you will need to pay the postage to get the items back to us to process.
To make this process go smoothly, we photograph and document all items before they are dispatched as proof of quality.
Checking items returned as faulty may involve a wait while we contact others in our network of suppliers or the original manufacturer if we do not have the item in the correct size in stock, or waiting to return to stock.
Postage on Faulty Goods
You are responsible for the postage cost of getting the item back to us. We do not refund postage costs of sending the item back to us. (Same as if you purchased offline at a retail shop they would not credit your petrol for driving back to the shop to return a product)
If a product is found to be faulty the new replacement item (same style, colour and size) would be sent to you free of charge.
Please send your faulty item back in original condition with full swing tags, unwashed, unworn and in the condition as it was sent to you in. The item must also include any free promotional products, gift or accessories that were sent to you.

We offer our policy in good faith so all that we ask is that you respect our policy – please don’t try and wear your garment out one night then try and return it the next day. We do inspect items before we send them out. We do not tolerate abuse of our policies or products being tampered with.
When you send an item back to us make sure you do so as soon as practical for you once you receive it, and include the following:
As stated above, the following items cannot be exchanged or returned:
Clearance items, Accessories, handbags, boots, evening bags, jewellery, swimwear, stockings and lingerie are not able to be exchanged or returned for a credit.
Cancellations
An order can only be cancelled within the first 24 hours after it being placed provided preparation and packing has not yet commenced.
Order cancellation carries a 5% cancellation fee to cover the administration fees that apply to us for a cancelled order. Once an order's status reaches "preparing for dispatch" or a status after that, it cannot be cancelled.
